Review | bareMinerals Blemish Rescue™ Skin-Clearing Spot Concealer

So after going missing for a few days since my last post I am finally back with something new. Even more exciting it's my first review post of the year and for this blog. I've done them in the past, but for some reason I've really been putting them off on here. To be honest I've been really distracted and distanced when it comes to blogging. So to get back into the flow of things I have a short review post.

In the past I use to be really active on Influenster.com and I decided to go check them out again. I got accepted into a new voxbox pretty quick and got to try a new product from bareMinerals. I'm going to do my best to give a detailed and coherent review! So continue reading to see what I thought of it!

Makeup that actually helps your skin??
bareMinerals' new concealer is non-drying, full-coverage and helps reduce the appearance of blemishes as well as prevent new ones! The concealer has salicylic acid in it to help reduce the appearance of blemishes. It also has zinc, sulfur and kaolin clay working together to mattify the skin and purify the pores. As well as other ingredients to help defend the skin against bacteria and help fade acne scars. The concealer sells for $22. To see a full list of the ingredients and get more information on this product you can check out their website right here!

As someone with extremely dry skin I actively avoid anything with the word "matte" in it, around it, near it. I've never had a good experience with matte products. This product however didn't give me the usual matte feeling. Their website does state that it's non-drying so this makes sense. To be honest on the first application I found the product to be a little in the oily range. However, once patted out and blended in, it had a nice "pillowy" soft look and feel to it.

The concealer glides on smoothly and the pen offers a nice and precise application. I've had very minimal experience with concealers, but I found this easy and refreshing to use. I don't break out often, so I'm not sure how often I'll be using it, but at the moment I do have a dark spot on my cheek from a pimple I picked at(I know, HUGE mistake).
 The final verdict!!

As someone who sweats a lot on my face I'm worried the oiliness of this product could be a problem. I definitely recommend a setting spray if you have this same product or wear it out during the spring/summer! You get a nice amount of product and I do find it pretty useful, so the $22 price is not terrible, but I think it could sell for a lower price $17/$18 would be great, $15/$16 would be perfect! The product has a great wear time and blends into skin perfectly. I would recommend trying it out if you're new or experienced with concealer. It can be a great starter item or even a great new product to add to your current line up!

I decided to give the product a 4 out of 5 stars. Simply, because I think the price is a bit much and could be lowered. The item is also not as full-coverage as they would lead you to believe. After applying it and patting it out I could still see the mole on my hand and had to apply it two more times to get adequate coverage. Other than that it's a good product I'm okay with.
